MD Notes Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026 · Developer: NITRONIUM LLC

In short: MD Notes does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. Your notes stay on your device. The app has no account, no ads and no analytics.

1. Who we are

MD Notes: Markdown for Devs (“the app”; iOS bundle ID de.nitronium.mdnotes, Android package com.nitronium.mdnotes) is a Markdown note-taking app for iPhone, iPad and Android published by NITRONIUM LLC (“we”, “us”).

2. Information we collect

We collect no information. The app does not ask you to create an account, does not connect to any server, and contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking libraries. The Android app does not request access to the internet. We never receive your notes, tags, search queries or any other content you create. The app does not track you and does not use your data for tracking.

3. Where your notes are stored

Notes are stored only in the app's private storage on your device (a local database that other apps cannot read). Your display preferences (accent color, text size and similar settings) are stored on the device as well. Nothing is uploaded by the app.

4. Permissions, files and sharing

The Android app requests no Android permissions.

5. Device backup

iPhone and iPad: if you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup of your device, iOS (Apple) may include the app's data, including your notes, in that backup and restore it on a new device.

Android: if you have Android's device backup enabled, Android (Google) may back up the app's data, including your notes, to your own Google account and restore it when you set up a new device. You can turn it off in your device's backup settings.

These are system features that you control in your device settings; we do not run them, receive the data or have access to it.

6. Third parties

The app does not use any third-party services that receive data from you. We do not sell, rent or share personal data, because we do not have any.

7. Children

The app is a general-purpose notebook and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

8. Deleting your data

You can delete individual notes inside the app. On iPhone and iPad, deleted notes are removed permanently from the Trash after 30 days, or immediately if you empty it. To remove all data, delete the app from your device, or on Android clear the app's storage in Android settings. Files you exported yourself are ordinary files outside the app and are yours to manage.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
